Our history

Bill Wilson, Founder of Custom Sheet Metal Of DE

It all started with Bill Wilson and his passion for sheet metal work. At the tender age of 17, Bill plunged into the world of sheet metal, honing his skills in layout, duct work, and fittings. As years rolled on, his one-man enterprise grew, gradually outgrowing smaller facilities. Recognizing the increasing demand for custom metal work, Bill relocated the business to our current location, laying the foundation for Custom Sheet Metal of Delaware Inc. Today, we honor Bill's legacy by continually evolving our services to encompass all aspects of metal fabrication, and striving to be an innovative force in the industry.

Together, we are Custom Sheet Metal of Delaware, a family-run business rooted in a legacy of excellence, dedicated to delivering top-quality metal fabrication services. We're proud of our history and excited about our future as we continue to grow, innovate, and serve our valued customers.

Buddy Johnson

President

Buddy, Bill's grandson grew up around custom sheet metal. He spent time in the summer learning the tricks of the trade from all the old timers. He is now head estimator and in charge of the daily operations, making sure all jobs run smoothly.

Ron Faulkner

Vice President, Shop Foreman

Ron started his career becoming a certified mason. One winter day he came to Custom Sheet Metal and was offered the opportunity to express himself through his ideas and creations. He decided it was time to make a career change and has absorbed many years of training in a short amount of time.

Terry Johnson

Office Manager

Terry, is Bill's daughter and has been around the business for most of her life. As a child, she would go out on jobs with her father and is not afraid to get her hands dirty. Since retiring from teaching, she now handles all the paperwork and office duties.
